A Wildflower State of Mind

“Normality is a paved road: it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it.”

Vincent Van Gogh

As I walk through the wildflowers, I feel hard stares On my back And a pounding in my chest.

Courage led me there, To where long weeds and dandelions grow. It is here I lay, and I think: Why is it outside of this place I am scared of being unique?

In the streets There are straight lines, stop signs, and rules.

But where I like to hide away To find clovers and bees,

Where I like to go To walk and be free,

Is where I reach A state of mind Past the clouds, Out of the lines, And feeding on the hunger of creativity.
