You, heavenly shower from above
We cower and hide when the sky brightens with grey
Fools avoid the embrace of the mother above
The city goes dead, as life itself washes the ground
Each single drop a glistening crystal
Shattering on pavement
Playing a symphony to which strings can’t compare
You bring us life with the music you perform
After a dry summer, grass explodes with color
A drought ends and crops rejoice
Like a beacon of light, you shroud the world in darkness
More vital than the blood pumping through my veins
People hide under plastic
Wear coats to deter you
Have boots to walk through you
Hiding like fools from fruit falling down out of Eden
